Returns

What is your return policy?

You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of gift cards or items marked as Final Sale.

How do I request a return?

You can start a return by logging in to your customer account, finding your order and selecting “Request Return” for the item. We charge a $4.99 flat rate for a return shipping label within the U.S. Buyers from Canada are responsible for return shipping fees to our warehouse in California. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. You can always contact us for any return question at support@youngeden.com.

What about exchanges?

If you need to exchange an item, contact us at support@youngeden.com to facilitate an exchange. U.S. buyers will cover the return shipping cost, but we will cover the shipping cost of the new item being sent to you. Due to high international shipping costs, buyers in Canada will be responsible for both the return shipping cost and shipping cost of the new item/size sent.

What about items that are damaged or defective?

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately at support@youngeden.com if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

We offer two flat-rate shipping options for customers in the U.S. for most items: $4.99 for standard delivery (estimated 2-6 business days) or $10.99 for expedited delivery (estimated 2-3 business days). Orders over $60 qualify for free standard shipping within the U.S. Heavier items (e.g. toys) incur higher shipping costs: $9.99 for standard U.S. delivery (2 to 6 business days) or $19.99 for expedited U.S. delivery (2 to 3 business days). Shipping to Canada is calculated at checkout based on current USPS rates.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship within the USA and Canada. We hope to expand to more countries in the future!

How long will it take to process my order?

Orders are processed within 2-3 business days.

Will items re-stock?

All of the products we sell are sourced in limited quantities to avoid overproduction (a leading cause of waste in the fashion industry). Depending on whether original manufacturers produce more quantities of a certain clothing item will determine if we can restock it again. If there's a particular item you're interested in, please contact us at support@youngeden.com to make a request.

How do I wash/care for clothes purchased at Young Eden?

We recommend washing apparel from Young Eden on low or delicate with a mild detergent. Make sure to wash your clothes with similar items. This will help prevent agitation that can occur when washing with bulkier items.
Drying on the gentle cycle/low temperature is ideal for machine dryers. However, laying flat to dry is best to help your planet-friendly clothing last as long as possible!

How are your products sustainable/environmentally friendly?

Unlike traditional and fast fashion children’s apparel retailers, Young Eden exclusively sells sustainable alternative baby and toddler clothing. This includes garments made from the industry gold standard, GOTS certified organic cotton.

We also offer eco-friendly alternatives to fast fashion in the form of small batch independent designers and garments made with materials including non-toxic, water-based inks, recycled materials, and organic fabric blends.

What is GOTS certified organic cotton?

Many of the garments we sell are made with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton. GOTS is the highest level of certification available for organic fabrics. In order to receive certification, products are evaluated throughout the manufacturing process — from their very beginnings as raw materials to their final fabrication as garments or blankets.

It forbids the use of harmful pesticides, toxic heavy metals, and chlorine bleach. It requires that all dyes meet safety requirements on toxicity and biodegradability.

And as part of the GOTS certification process, the factories that produce these products are required to provide safe working conditions and fair wages for all of their employees.

Where are the products you sell manufactured?

Our sustainable clothing partners and suppliers we work with manufacture the products we sell in a variety of locations around the world, including the United States, India, Nicaragua, and Europe.

Why do some products of the same size/style vary?

Every designer we carry creates sizes/styles unique to their own business. Because sizing can vary, we try to include size charts on product pages where possible. If you want to ask about sizing for a certain product, please contact us at support@youngeden.com.

Why don't you carry a certain brand of clothes I like?

We'd love to hear from you! Please let us know if there is a brand you like to shop and would like to request we carry. Email us at info@youngeden.com with the name of the brand and we will look into their products.

Young Eden is a family run business, owned and managed by two sisters who care about the world their children will grow into. The Founder and CEO, Jessica Cooper and Co-founder and COO, Julia Cooper, are fourth generation San Francisco natives.
